THE BARBERA D'ASTI WINE
Qualitative evolution
Starting from the 2008 harvest Barbera d?Asti wines are entitled to use the Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin, as a sign of an evolutionary journey which has found the road to quality and total transparency for the consumer.

The beginning of the counter-charge is marked by the choices of a number of producers who transform our more traditional wine into a red full-bodied, soft, stable wine, as can be obtained from Barbera grapes when they have perfectly ripened. This vine is able to produce very different wines, even if easily traced to a common matrix, depending on the level of ripeness reached by the grapes. For this reason it is able to enhance the best vineyards for exposure and physiological balance of the plants.

These elements have given way to the acceleration which has led the Barbera d'Asti to its current situation characterised by wines which have more moderate acidity and a greater concentration of colorants, a direct result of the improvement in the level of ripeness. Thanks to these changes our wine has gained in image, starting to establish itself in more distant markets which are more difficult than the traditional ones, also consolidating the image of its denomination.

A further qualitative leap is due to the success of the wines of "Superiore" level produced by selected grapes and with personalised vinification techniques enhancing their expressive ability in terms of taste and smell.

Un ulteriore salto di qualità è dovuto al successo dei vini di livello Superiore prodotti da uve selezionate e con tecniche di vinificazione personalizzate che ne hanno esaltato le capacità di espressione gusto-olfattiva.
